State testing begins April 3 and continues through May 5. Students in grades 3 and 4 will take paper and pencil tests, while students in grades 5-8 will take computerized tests. Tests in science will be paper and pencil for all grades on May 4.
Below are testing dates for grade levels at Lee Road School:
Tests will be given during the morning; however, some students who need extra time will be testing in the afternoons as well. Please do not plan to check out your child for any reason during this time. It is critical to our school performance score and to our district performance score that all students in grades 3-8 are present and testing during these times. If you have questions or concerns regarding these tests, please do not hesitate to contact me.
There are several ways you can help your child practice for these tests. Please check the Louisiana Believes website (both the Assessment tab and the Library) for resources. Also, our Lee Road website has many good suggestions under the Links tab. Have a wonderful month!
